The House in Dereceh Haavot Petition – II - September 2008
HCJ 8258/08 a
Hagit Ofran

On April 28, 2008 Peace Now submitted a joint petition with landowner Munar Mussa for the removal of a house being construed on his private land, which has been usurped by the Illegal Outpost Derech Ha'avot.

At that time the courts, on the basis of the promises of the government authorities declarations, accepted that the house would be removed and rejected the petition.

By September 28, 2008 no attempts by the authorities had been made to remove the housing and return the land to Mussa, thus this petition has been resubmitted to the Supreme Court.

In light of the State's comments, the Court registered the intentions of the state as the final word of the case and Peace Now's petition was officially closed.
